Firmware Upgrade
This section covers upgrades to the firmware using GME Commercial’s CM60 Flash Updater. The
process of upgrading the firmware is also known as Flashing the radio.
Note:
Radios can be rolled back to an older version of firmware if required.
GME Commercial’s CM60 Flash adapter is also used for the CM40 and CM50 series of radios.
The latest firmware is available for download from the GME Commercial Dealer Portal:
1.
Go to your web browser (Microsoft Edge is recommended) and enter
https://www.gme.net.au/au/dealer/login/
2.
Enter your credentials and log in.
3.
In the menu at the left, click Software Library.
4.
In the search box, enter CM40 or CM50. Click Search.
5.
Download the Firmware. GME also recommends that you read the Release Notes.
The software is a file of less than a megabyte with a name of the form CM40_CM50_vx.xx.geb,
where ‘x.xx’ is the version number. Depending on your computer setup, the software will download
into a folder specified by you or into the default Downloads folder. If the latter, you may choose to
move it to a more convenient location using Windows Explorer.

- Refer to the Hardware section on page 5.
