located on the hexagonal
section on the spindle.
4. Secure the spool and line
assembly by screwing the
bump knob onto the end of
the spindle.
5. Tighten the bump knob using
the spanner provided.
Replacement of the cutting line
1. Stop the engine.
2. Put the petrol line trimmer on the floor in a way that
cutting line and spool assembly (1) is facing up.
3. Open the cutting line and
spool assembly (1) by using
the spool removal spanner
(15) twisting the bump knob
anti-clockwise.
4. Pull the bump knob out of the
spool head and remove the
remaining cutting line.
5. Cut the new line, Ø2mm

nylon threads (already cut)
and insert into one of the
slots provided in the centre of
the spool and wrap the line
firmly clockwise.
6. Introduce each end of the line to the eyelets in the
spool holder. The line should stick out 150mm each side.
7. Screw the bump knob back on the shaft firmly.
CAUTION.
After changing the line spool, run the petrol line
trimmer under no load for at least a minute to make sure
that the line and the tool are both operating correctly. Use
only the line spool as recommended by the manufacturer.
WARNING.
Never use steel threads and/or three teeth
blade other than those provided by the manufacturer.
Always use tools in perfect condition, free of damage.
WARNING.
In high-speed rotation, parts could be projected
at very high speed and could involve serious injury and
damages to persons and property.
Fueling
MOTOR FUEL: MIX AT 40:1 ONLY
1. Use fresh unleaded petrol. You must use 2-stroke oil
specifically made for heavily stressed two-stroke engines.
2. Mix the petrol and oil in an approved container.
Never mix fuel directly in the line trimmer fuel tank.
3. Place the line trimmer upright on the ground or on
a sturdy bench and wipe any debris from around the
fuel cap.
4. Unscrew the fuel tank cap and pour the mixture into the
tank with the aid of a funnel.
5. Be careful not to spill any mixture. If this happens, wipe
the spill with a clean rag.
6. Start the engine at least three metres away from the area
where the fuel tank has been filled up in order to avoid
any risk of fire.
•
Always use extreme care when handling fuel! Fuel is
highly flammable.
•
Never attempt to fuel the line trimmer if the fuel system
components are damaged or are leaking.
•
Never attempt the refuel the engine while it is running
or still warm, allow it to cool before fueling.
