Remove or Disconnect (Figure 5)
: 1. Plug (11). .
2. Lubricant. [
3. Screws (12); and washers (13).
: 4. Cover (14).
7 5. Seal (15).
6. Nuts (26) and bolts (5).
7. Cover (25). I
8. Seal (24).
9. Clevis pin (9).
A. Install a 9/16-inch socket over the nut (23).
B. Install a puller over the piston bore and clamp
onto the flange (figure 5).
C. Tighten the puller until the tension is relieved on
the clevis pin (9)
D. Remove the clevis pin.
10. Puller to spring end of housing.
11. Piston (19), push rod (2), and spring (3).
12. Pin (16).
13. Lever (8).
14. Piston stop (4).

• All the parts in solvent and air dry.
1. Housing for damage or cracks. /
2. Cylinder bore for wedr or scoring.
3. Pistpn (19) for wear or hardness.
4. Felt rings (20) for wear or hardness.
5. Sekl (21) for wear or hardness.
6. Spring (3) for distortion or corrosion.
7. Push, rod (2) for out-of-round holes, wear, or dam­
age- ■ :
8. Actuating lever (8) for wear or damage.
9. Bushings (7 and 10) for wear or damage.
ASSEMBLY

NOTICE: For steps 7, 13, and 16, see "NO­
TICE" on page 4B2-1.
1. SAE 30 oil in the felt oilers (20).
• Soak the felt oilers for one hour in oil.
2. Actuating lever (8).
3. Pivot pin (16).
4. Felt oilers (20) on the piston (19).
5. Seal (21) on the piston (19).
6. Piston (19) on the push rod (2).
7. Washer (22) and nut (23).
1. Grommet 14.
2. Rod 15.
3. Spring 16.
4. Piston Stop 17.
5. Bolt 18.
6. Housing 19.
7. Bearing 20.
8. Lever
21.
9. Pin 22.
10. Bearing 23.
11. Plug 24.
12. Screw 25.
13. Split Washer 26.
