Setting the minimum brightness

The minimum brightness can be set separately for each DALI group.

Set the “Minimum brightness” parameter in the “Groups- [x] group name" parameter node (x = group

number 1...32) to the required brightness value.

The adjusted brightness will not be under-run in any of the activated operating states.

The adjustable value cannot exceed the parameterized maximum brightness (minimum brightness <

maximum brightness).

While the minimum brightness is adjusted, the ETS plug-in will check all parameterized brightness

values of the group (e.g. switch-on brightness, scene values etc.) to see whether the values have
exceeded the minimum brightness. If this is the case, the plug-in will report a conflict of values and
offers the following option...
– the brightness values can be adjusted to the minimum brightness or
– the setting of the minimum brightness will be reset to the original value.

In case values are received via the brightness value object that fall short of the parameterized

minimum brightness, the Gateway will set the minimum brightness as the new brightness value for
the affected group.

Setting the maximum brightness

The maximum brightness can be set separately for each DALI group.

Set the “Maximum brightness” parameter in the “Groups- [x] group name" parameter node (x = group

number 1.3.32) to the required brightness value.

The adjusted brightness will not be exceeded in any of the activated operating states.

The adjustable value cannot fall short of the parameterized minimum brightness (minimum

brightness < maximum brightness).

While the maximum brightness is adjusted the ETS plug-in will check all parameterized brightness

values of the group (e.g. switch-on brightness, scene values etc.) to see whether the values have
exceeded the maximum brightness. If this is the case, the plug-in will report a conflict of values and
offers the following option...
– the brightness values can be adjusted to the maximum brightness or
– the setting of the maximum brightness will be reset to the original value.

In case values are received via the brightness value object that exceed the parameterized maximum

brightness, the Gateway will set the maximum brightness as the new brightness value for the
affected group.
