Wayne CAT Display Messages
The following are checklists of actions that can help diagnose Wayne CAT issues.
Please Pay Inside (E01)
This message is displayed when there is no communication between the CAT and the Passport
system. You can attempt to re-establish communication to the CAT by resetting
NGCRIND.exe, which is responsible for polling each CAT and controlling its behavior. If

If this does
not resolve the problem, then the CAT Control Board inside the Wayne dispenser could be
defective.
Configuring CAT
This message must appear briefly when communication is established with a CAT. The
Passport system will attempt to configure the device so that it can be used. If the message
“Configuring CAT” does not clear from the display, attempt the following:
• Reset NGCRIND.exe.
• Cycle power at CAT and/or dispenser or power fail.

This message indicates one of the following:
The POS is sending data to the CAT.
~ OR ~
The POS is awaiting data from the host for transaction completion.
If this message does not clear from a CAT display, reset NGCRIND.exe.
CAT Display Message Prompts Flashing Too Fast (Cannot Read)
Power fail or cycle power at the CAT.
CAT Display Prompt Overwrites Itself
Power fail or cycle power at the CAT.
CAT Board Isolation Testing
To locate the dispenser that is not working correctly, proceed as follows:

Switch off power to one fueling position at a time, while all remaining fueling positions are
powered on.

Try to determine the problem unit/fueling position.
