Data transfer
With some functions, large amounts of data are transferred between the handset and
the external device (PC). In this case the handset switches to data transfer mode, and
Data Transfer
appears in the handset display. When the handset is in this mode you
cannot make any inputs on the keypad, and incoming calls are ignored.
The handset goes into data transfer mode in the following cases:
◆
Read/write access to the telephone directory
◆
Read/write access to the email directory
◆
Read/write access to the network provider list
◆
Read/write access to the appointments list

The handset returns to idle status automatically if any errors occur during data transfer.
Make and answer telephone calls
If you dial a number from the external device or answer a call from it, the handset will
behave exactly as if you carried out these functions on the handset.
