Installing the driver software
Once the Gigaset USB Stick 54 has been plugged in, the installation continues
automatically. The operating system's automatic hardware recognition function opens
in order to install the drivers for the Gigaset USB Stick 54.
Notes for installation on Windows XP
If Windows XP SP1 is installed on your PC, a query window will appear.

Select the
Install software automatically
option and click
Next
.
If Windows XP SP2 is installed on your PC, you will be asked whether the Windows
update function should look for suitable software.

Select the
No, not this time
option and click
Next
.
ì
Then select the
Install software automatically
option and click
Next
.
Notes for installation on Windows Vista
If Windows Vista is installed on your PC, there may be a more recent driver on your PC
for the Gigaset USB Stick 54.

if you would like to use this driver (recommended).
Click
No
if you want to replace the driver with the driver on the CD.

Select the option
Finish
to close the hardware wizard.
A window may appear following installation prompting you to finish the installation.

Select the option to restart the PC and click
Finish

Windows 98SE / ME
: You may be prompted to insert your Windows Installation
CD to continue driver installation. Therefore you should have this CD to hand or
enter the path name where the Windows installation files are stored on your PC.

Restart your PC if you are prompted to do so.
u
If your PC already contains more recent files, answer the question whether you
want to keep them with
YES.
