IMPORTANT: Please completely understand all user
instructions and safety information before using this product.
NOTE: Use only Genuine Innovations CO
2
cartridges. Other
brands may not be compatible, may damage inflator, and void
warranty.
1. Prepare inflator for CO
2
inflation
(For manual pumping, go to step 3)
NOTE: Do not activate a CO2 cartridge
until ready to use.
Using non-threaded CO
2
cartridges
(Figure A)
Unscrew inflator head from pump barrel. Pull down silver
outer cup fully below black inner barrel as shown. Insert a 16
gram NON-THREADED CO
2
cartridge into the open end of the
pump barrel so the cartridge narrow end faces up. Thread
inflator head to the pump barrel turning it until the cartridge
just contacts the puncture pin, then quickly and firmly twist to
puncture (activate) the CO
2
cartridge. Inflator is now charged.
Using threaded CO
2
cartridges
(Figure B)
NOTE: The pump barrel is not used when dispensing THREAD-
ED CO
2
cartridges. Unscrew pump barrel from inflator head
and set aside. Thread a CO
2
cartridge into dispenser head
until the cartridge just contacts the puncture pin, then quickly
and firmly twist to puncture (activate) the CO
2
cartridge.
Inflator is now charged.
2. Connect to tire valve
(Figure C&D)
IMPORTANT: Presta valve MUST be opened before inflating
tire. Failure to open valve completely may cause injury or
damage the inflator.
For Presta valves
Set your SecondWind MTB to Presta valve mode by rotating
the gray dial counter clockwise until it stops. Firmly grip the
inflator head and push inflator securely onto the Presta valve.
You may need to hold tire valve in place by pushing against
tire tread with thumb. See Figure C&D.
For Schrader valves
Set your SecondWind MTB to a Schrader valve mode by rotat-
ing the gray dial clockwise until it stops. This will engage the
valve depresser. Attach the head to the Schrader valve by
threading the nozzle fully onto the schrader valve. You may
need to hold tire valve in place by pushing against tire tread
with thumb. See Figure C&D.
3. Inflate
Inflate with CO
2
(Figure E)
IMPORTANT: Dispense CO
2
in upright position for best results.
Manual pumping
(Figure F)
Firmly grip the pump head with one hand and the silver pump
barrel with your other hand and pump to desired pressure. An
activated non-threaded 16 gram CO
2
cartridge or a 12 gram
threaded CO
2
cartridge can be inside the pump barrel during
manual pumping thus allowing user discretion to manually
pump or inflate using CO
2
.-
For disconnecting from Presta
valve simply pull inflator head away from tire valve. For
Schrader valve un-thread nozzle from tire valve.
CAUTION: Do NOT over tigthen pump barrel as this could
cause pump to leak.
CO
2
cartridge must be completely empty
before removal from inflator. An activated cartridge removed
from an inflator is dangerous! Do not over-inflate tire as injury
can result.

1. Prepare el inflador para inflarlo con CO2
(Para inflado manual, vaya al paso 3)

Utilizando cartuchos de CO2 sin rosca
(Figura A)
Desenrosque el cabezal del inflador del cilindro del inflador. Baje completamente el recipiente exterior de metal por debajo
del cilindro tal como se indica. Inserte el cartucho de CO2 sin rosca de 16g en el extremo abierto a fin que el extremo estre-
cho del cartucho quede enfrentado. Enrosque el cabezal del inflador en el cilindro del inflador girándolo hasta que el cartu-
cho haga contacto con la clavija de perforación, luego gire rápidamente y con firmeza para perforar (activar) el cartucho de
CO2. Ahora el inflador está cargado.
Utilizando cartuchos de CO2 de rosca
(Figura B)
NOTA: El cilindro del inflador no se utiliza cuando se emplean cartuchos de CO2 DE ROSCA. Desenrosque el cilindro del
inflador del cabezal del inflador y guárdelo. Enrosque el cartucho de CO2 en el cabezal del dispositivo hasta que el cartucho
haga contacto con la clavija de perforación, luego gire rápidamente y con firmeza para perforar (activar) el cartucho de CO2.
Ahora el inflador está cargado.
2. Conecte la válvula de la rueda
(Figuras C y D)
IMPORTANTE: La válvula Presta DEBE abrirse antes de inflar la rueda. Si se produce un fallo al abrir completamente la
válvula podría provocar una lesión o dañar el inflador.
Para válvulas Presta
Coloque su SecondWind MTB al modo de válvula Presta girando el contador gris de disco hacia la derecha hasta el tope.
Sujete con firmeza el cabezal del inflador y presione bien el inflador por la válvula Presta. Puede ser de ayuda sostener la
válvula de la rueda en su sitio presionando contra el perfil del neumático con el pulgar. Ver figura C y D.
Para válvulas Schrader
Coloque su SecondWind MTB al modo de válvula Schrader girando el contador gris de disco hacia la derecha hasta el tope.
Esto apretará el pulsador de la válvula. Conecte el cabezal a la válvula Schrader enroscando completamente la boquilla a la
válvula Schrader. Quizás necesite sostener la válvula de la rueda en su sitio presionando contra el perfil del neumático con el
pulgar. Ver figura C y D.
3. Inflar
Infle con CO2

IMPORTANTE: Utilice el CO2 en posición vertical para mejores resultados.
Inflado manual
(Figura F)
Sujete con firmeza el cabezal del inflador con una mano y el cilindro del inflador plateado con la otra e infle hasta obtener la
presión deseada. Tanto un cartucho de CO2 sin rosca de 16g como un cartucho de CO2 de rosca de 12g activados pueden
permanecer dentro del cilindro del inflador mientras se infla de forma manual según el criterio del usuario, mientras utiliza el
inflador de forma manual o con CO2.- Para desconectar la válvula Presta, simplemente tire el cabezal del inflador de la
válvula de la rueda. Para una válvula Schrader, desenrosque la boquilla de la válvula de la rueda.
ADVERTENCIA: El cartucho de CO2 debe vaciarse completamente antes de quitarse del inflador. ¡Un cartucho de CO2
activado fuera del inflador es peligroso! No infle de más la rueda, ya que podría ocasionarse lesiones.
