The Control Module is preloaded with a number of warning and test messages that may be
freely used or deleted as needed.
The figures below show the main elements of the Control Modules. A sealed, ruggedized
package houses an MP3 player capable of playing audio in MP3, WAV and WMA formats.

5.1 Control Module Operation
•
Attach Control Module to LRAD Amplifier Module as shown in Figure 5, Section 4.2.
•
If needed, attach the microphone to the microphone input connection of the Control
Module (marked: “MIC/USB”).
•
Turn on the LRAD’s amplifiers and the Control Module by turning the Power and Volume
Control knob to the right. You will feel the knob click to turn the unit on.
•
Adjust the Volume Control to the desired setting.
•
Adjust the backlight intensity of the buttons and the LCD Display by pushing the BACKLIGHT
BRIGHTNESS button. Pushing this button cycles through three brightness levels and “off”
(no backlight).
