Quick Start
The following “Quick Start” procedure can be followed by the user where necessary. Refer to the label located on the left sid
e of
the GeVentor, and Section 2 of this IFU.
•
Go to “HOME” page
•
Check “ALARM” settings
•
Set Height and Gender of patient
•
Set PEEP
•
Set Respiratory Rate (RR)
•
Go to “Manual Controls”
•
Set Gas Flow Control to low setting using Gas Flow Control knob
•
Set FiO
2
using FiO
2
Mixture knob
•
Set PEEP on PEEP Valve
•
Select “START”
•
Adjust “Gas Flowrate” to achieve desired gas flow
CAUTION
The user must be familiar with the operation and
use of the GeVentor when selecting to use the
Quick Start instructions.
6.5
Start Up
Standby / Ready Mode:
The GeVentor is switched on but not in operation and all ventilation settings are default settings.
DANGER
Patients are not to be connected to the GeVentor
when in standby/ready mode. Ventilation does not
take place in standby mode.
Do not leave the GeVentor unattended when in
“Standby” mode to reduce risk of unintended
activation of GeVentor.
