APPENDIX B: PROFIBUS COMMUNICATION CONFIGURATION
The positioner can be controlled via the Profibus-DP field bus. This appendix describes the format of the
application interface towards Profibus-DP.
Some of the bytes used for the Profibus-DP communication can be read and written also via a normal
configuration serial channel by stating the suitable IPA. The following points have to taken into consideration:
1.
The reading and writing procedure is formed with words where the bytes are gathered into couples.
2.
Each word can contain from 0 to 15 bits.
