Checking the connection to the herd management PC (Ethernet: VP8002 <->
DairyPlan-PC)
Testing the connection to the PC (PING)
Test the connection from the PC to the connected device with the PING instruction.
1. Open the command prompt on the herd
management PC
2. Enter instruction: ping <IP Adresse>
(IP address of the device to be tested)
Example: ping 192.168.1.102
The following responses are possible:
- Network connection correct
- Network connection faulty
→ Test ends
Please note
A network connection can be monitored over a period of time.
● Command: ping -t<IP Adresse>
Monitoring ends with the following key combination: Strg + C
Test connection via the user interface
Only in conjunction with ongoing process control (DPProcessControl)
Example:
A responder number is sent to the herd management PC to simulate identification
at the milking place.
