Testing safety components

Step 1: Lights

● Check the left and right signal lights by activating the lever and visually

confirm their functionality at the rear of the spreader.

● Activate the brake and visually confirm that the brake indicators work

properly.

Step 2: Air brake system

Attention!

The air brake system is equipped with a Wabco valve allowing to set
the braking power manually. Set the Wabco valve according to the
actual load inside the tank before testing the air brake system. Refer
to section Operating - Moving the spreader - Adjusting Wabco valve.

Test the service brakes:

● Apply and release the tractor brake pedal a few times before moving the

spreader.

● Move the spreader to a wide and safe area. Apply the service brakes a few

times to ensure that the brakes can stop the spreader properly.

Test the emergency brakes:

● Activate the tractor parking brake. Try to move the spreader by pressing on

the gas pedal. The emergency brake must keep the spreader immobilized.
