Installing the driving passage
Guidelines for installation
To ensure that the segregation processes run smoothly, the following should be
observed:
● The animals must approach the entrance gate exactly one behind the other.
● Permissible passageway widths (0,8 m - 0,9 m)
- The maximum permissible passageway width in front of the entrance gate
is 90 cm.
If the passageway is widened, several animals can push into the
passageway side by side.
This can lead to incorrect segregation because the entrance gate can no
longer reliably separate one animal from another.
It is therefore preferable to reduce the passageway width to 80 cm.
- However, the passageway must be 90 cm starting about 50 cm in front of
the entrance gate so that the entrance gate can open fully.
- The passageway width might have to be adjusted (depending on the breed
of animal)
● Another possibility to prevent animals
pushing next to each other in the
passageway is to fit wooden blocks
along the sides of the passageway.
The passageway width can be reduced
to 40 to 50 cm.

Installation procedure
1. Install the driving passage in front of the entrance gate
Note:
The entrance gate will only be able to separate the animals from each
other reliably if the maximum width of the passageway is 90 cm
(preferably 80 cm).
Approximately 50 cm before the entrance gate, the width of the
passageway must be 90 cm to enable the wings of the entrance gates to
open fully!
2. Install frame parts between the entrance gate and gate frame
3. Install the driving passage behind the animal segregation
