7.11 CONTROL OPERATIONS.
1. Time setting.
Set date and time of the relay and verify the proper operation.
To set date and time use the
SET
DATE
/
TIME
menu in the ACTions menu. To enter into this menu press
ACT
key
from the main display showing
DFF - GENERAL ELECTRIC
.
2. Communications Trigger.
Apply an AC voltage to any phase and trigger the oscillography capture using the
ACT
–
COMM
TRIGGER
command. Retrieve the oscillography register using
GE_LOCAL
or
DFFPC
software and display the record using
GE_OSC
software package. Verify that the captured waveform fits with the applied voltage signal.
7.12 INHIBIT VOLTAGE CHECK.
NOTE: Tests must be done with phase B.
NOMINAL VOLTAGE setting is phase-to-phase voltage.
Injected voltages are phase-to-ground.
•
Set the relay
NOMINAL FREQUENCY
to nominal frequency (50 or 60 Hz).
•
Set one frequency unit as absolute threshold and set the operating value to 110% of nominal frequency.
•
Set nominal voltage to 90 Vac (
NOMINAL VOLTAGE
setting is phase-to-phase voltage).
•
Set inhibition voltage to 40 % (0.4x90V = 36Vph-ph = 20.8Vph-gnd).
•
Provide a 10Vac voltage signal on phase B terminals, at nominal frequency.
•
Check that the unit trips with 22 Vac and does not trip with 19 Vac
•
Set inhibition voltage to 110 % (1.1x90V = 99Vph-ph = 57Vph-gnd).
•
Check that the unit trips with 61 Vac and does not trip with 54 Vac.
•
Set nominal voltage to 220 Vac.
•
Set inhibition voltage to 40 % (0.4x220V = 88Vph-ph = 50.8Vph-gnd).
•
Check that the unit trips with 54 Vac and does not trip with 48 Vac.
•
Set inhibition voltage to 110 % (1.1x220V = 242Vph-ph = 139.7Vph-gnd).
•
Check that the unit trips with 150 Vac and does not trip with 132 Vac
