5. HARDWARE DESCRIPTION

MIV Digital Multifunctional Protective Relay

The button situated on the front can be used to check the status of the LEDs and to reset the trip indicators. In
order to reset the indicators, simply press the button for 3 seconds.

5.2.3. POWER SUPPLY

The MOV power supply can be of two types, depending on the model: 48-125 Vdc or 110/250 Vdc. The operating
margin of the power supply is + 20% and it is galvanically insulated from the rest of the relay's circuits. The power
supply pr 12 Vdc to supply the analog part and the output relays and + 5 Vdc for the digital circuits.

5.2.4. KEYPAD AND DISPLAY

The MOV display is an LCD display (liquid crystal) and consists of two rows of 16 characters each and can be
seen in the window situated on the front of the unit. The intensity of the display can be adjusted by using an
adjustable resistance situated on the rear of the front board. The keyboard consists of a set of twenty covered
keys.
