CHAPTER 4: SOFTWARE

4.1.2

Requirements

The following minimum requirements must be met for the EnerVista MM3 Setup software 
to operate on the computer.

• Microsoft Windows™ 95/98 or higher is installed and running properly

• at least 6 MB hard disk space is available

EnerVista MM3 Setup can be installed from either the GE EnerVista CD or the GE Multilin 
website at 

http://www.GEmultilin.com

. If you are using legacy equipment without web 

access or a CD drive, 3.5” floppy disks can be ordered from the factory.

Checking if 
Installation/
Upgrade is 
Required

It may be necessary to upgrade an existing version of EnerVista MM3 Setup. Start the 
software and follow the procedure below:

While EnerVista MM3 Setup is running, insert the GE Multilin CD or 
go to the GE Multilin website at 

http://www.GEmultilin.com

 

(preferred method).

Z

Select the 

Software

 menu item then select 

MM3 Motor Manager 3

 

from the list of products.

Z

Verify that the software version shown on this page is identical to 
the installed version as shown below. Select the 

Help > About 

MM3PC

 menu item to determine which version is installed on the 

local PC.

Installing 
EnerVista MM3 
Setup

After ensuring the minimum requirements indicated earlier, use the following procedure to 
install the EnerVista MM3 Setup software from the enclosed GE EnerVista CD.

Z

Insert the GE EnerVista CD into your CD-ROM drive.

Z

Click the 

Install Now

 button and follow the installation instructions 

to install the no-charge EnerVista software on the local PC.

Z

When installation is complete, start the EnerVista Launchpad 
application.

Z

Click the 

IED Setup

 section of the 

Launch Pad

 toolbar.

In the EnerVista Launch Pad window, click the 

Add Product

 button 

and select the “MM3 Motor Manager 3 Intelligent MCC Controller” 
as shown below.

Select the “Web” option to ensure the most recent software 
release, or select “CD” if you do not have a web connection.
