3-7-9 Advanced Settings
Use the Advanced Settings page to configure or modify details about the advanced setting properties
used for the Ultrasound system.
3-7-9-1 Patient Screen
Use the Patient Screen page to set parameters for the Patient Screen.

1. Navigate to
Connectivity > Connection Manager > Advanced Settings .
2. Select
Patient Screen .
3. To not require a Patient ID when entering a new patient in the archive, enable
Automatic generation of patient ID .
NOTE : When enabled, the system automatically generates an ID number. When disabled, the Patient ID is required when entering a new
patient in the archive.
4. To Show BBT field on the OB patient screen to input the basal body temperature, enable
Show BBT .
5. To enter either the patient age or the birth date In the Patient information window, enable
Use birthday .
NOTE : When enabled, enter the birth date and then the age is calculated. When disabled, enter age (birth date field not available).
6. To display Detail Mode, rather than Exam View, when you select the patient name in the patient list on the Patient menu, enable
Detail Mode .
NOTE : You can also type comments while in Detail Mode.
7. To store new patient automatically by pressing the Patient key, enable
Quick New Patient Entry .
8. To allow entering Other ID, such as Citizen Service Number, Burger Service Number (BSN), National Health System (NHS) number, along
with patient ID information on the Patient Screen, enable Enable Other ID .
9. If Enable Other ID is enabled, under
Validation Format , select the system validates the format of “Other ID” when an ID is entered. Choose:
NHS Number *** ** *****, Letters and Numbers, Numbers, or Any (no restriction).
10. Under
Columns in examination listing , use the arrows (<< or >>) to create new columns, remove columns, and select the information to
display in a column.
