3.4 Running a pre-programmed protocol from the PC
3.4.1 Ettan IPGphor 3 Control Software
The Ettan IPGphor 3 Control Software allows the user to control the instrument
and capture data from the serial port with a Windows® based computer and
serial cable or USB converter.
The following functions are provided:
• Selecting run protocols by choosing strip length and pH gradient
• Editing of the protocols and transferring them to the instrument
• Starting, stopping and pausing of IEF runs on the instrument:
• Acquisition of run data, which is displayed in the graph and the numerical
displays
• Event logging
• Printing and saving the display, and saving data and session log to a
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet file

WARNING! Check that the high voltage is turned off before opening the safety
lid. The HV ON indicator on the front panel should not light.
