COMTRADE Graphs
Downloading COMTRADE Files
A lot of the key data recorded during each circuit breaker operation (and available in the
Modbus or DNP3 registers) is available in the COMTRADE files (format also used by relays),
but the real use of the COMTRADE files is to contain all the data to generate the graphs.
There are 4 different types of files:
-
“
_
open” for opening operation data
-
“
_
clos” for closing operation data
-
“
_
sprg” for spring rewind data
-
“
_
pump” for pump operation data
Each COMTRADE file is in fact made up of two files: one with extension “.cfg” and one with
extension “.dat”
. The file name shows the date at which the operation occurred (and the
data was recorded).
These files can be downloaded
by going to the “System/Downloads” area of the HMI:

Because of memory limitations, the following maximum number of files will be stored
before the oldest one is overwritten:
-
50 files in total of either open, close or spring type (so about 16 O-C operations)
-
15 files in total of pump type (15 for 1x motor or 5 per 3x motor)
