RAP 6.3 Dog ear corners in sheets

Use this RAP when the one of both corners of the sheets have dog ears.

1. Make sure the curl of printed sheets entering the punch are within

specifications (Section 3.14)

The curl is within specifications.

Yes

- Go to Step 2;

- Adjust the curl to be within specification

2. Check the operation of Diverter solenoid- do RAP 4.1

This clears the fault

Yes

- Return to normal operation;

- Go to Step 3.

3. Check and clear and obstructions in the paper path.

This clears the fault

Yes

- Return to normal operation;

- Go to Step 4.

4. Inspect the sheet guides (stainless steel guides) in the die throat.

They should be firmly affixed to the plates of the die and should be

parallel.

The sheet guides are normal.

Yes

- Escalate to second level;

- If there is another dieset at the location, try it. Escalate to second

level.
