5.3 REPLACING THE INTRAMUSCULAR INJECTION INSERT

1. 

Carefully roll down the skin on the pediatric 
arm about a quarter of the way to reveal the 
upper lateral subcutaneous injection insert. 

1. 

Remove the intramuscular insert at the 
deltoid area of the pediatric arm.

2. 

Replace with a new, unpunctured 
intramuscular insert.
