Installing Windows NT 4.0 on a Solo 9550
This kit includes a CD containing Windows NT 4.0 drivers and system BIOS, APM 2.0 Power
Management 2.74, Card Executive 2.74, and these printed instructions.
Windows NT 4.0 drivers and BIOS
The CD contains the following drivers and BIOS:

Complete each of the following steps to install Windows NT 4.0 on a Gateway Solo 9550.
Flashing the system BIOS
To flash the system BIOS:

Make a bootable diskette.

Copy the system BIOS (example:
2903.exe
) from the CD to the diskette.

Boot from the diskette.

Run the system BIOS (example:
2903.exe
) to flash the BIOS.
Turning Plug & Play off
Before installing Windows NT 4.0, verify that the
Plug & Play O/S
option on the
Advanced
menu of
the BIOS Setup utility is set to
NO
.
Installing Windows NT 4.0 hardware drivers
To install Windows NT 4.0 and the hardware drivers:

Install Windows NT 4.0 (not included in this kit). Do not install the Windows NT Service Pack
at this time.

Install the network (Intel) drivers as follows:
