MAN SYS US SL1200 SETUP CRD R0 9/01
Setting up your Solo 1200
Using Your Solo 1200
General tips
If for some reason you cannot use the
Turn Off Computer or Shut Down option in
Windows to shut down your notebook, press and hold the power button for about
five seconds, then release.
Avoid subjecting your notebook to extreme temperature changes. The case or LCD
can become very brittle and easy to break in cold temperatures and can melt or warp
in high temperatures.
Be careful not to bump or drop your notebook, and do not put any objects on top of it.
The case, although strong, is not made to support extra weight.

Getting the most out of your battery
When you finish using your notebook for the first time, turn it off and leave it connected
to AC power for at least 24 hours to fully charge the battery.
Recalibrate your battery if your notebook unexpectedly goes into Standby mode while
you are using it but the battery charge is not low or if the battery gauge appears to be
inaccurate. See your user's guide for more information.
Extend the life of your battery by:
Minimizing the use of CD or DVD drives.
Dimming the display as much as is comfortable.
Using the AC power adapter whenever an AC outlet is available.
Monitoring the battery charge by positioning the cursor over the or on the
taskbar.
Changing power management settings as explained in the user's guide.
