Support and updates

Tech support

This feature lets you provide technical support personnel with event and 
configuration information to assist with troubleshooting.

To use Tech support:

From the 

Main

 window, click 

Tech Support

 (located in the upper right 

corner of the window under the StorView logo). The 

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

 

window opens.

Enter the requested information for each field.

The 

Problem

 field is scrollable.

Click 

DOWNLOAD

. A message tells you to save the file on your local disk.

Enter a name for the file, then click 

Save

. The software creates a file with 

your user data, a capture of the event log files, and a capture of all 
configuration information. Customer Care representatives are able to work 
with this information to assist with solving your problem.

Click 

CLOSE

 to close the window.

6

E-mail the saved file when requested by a Customer Care representative.
