Advanced logical drive functions

LOCATE

From the list, select the time interval for the Drive Activity LED to blink.

Identify the drive in the enclosure by its blinking Drive Activity LED. See
the hardware guide for details on Drive LEDs.

Advanced logical drive functions

Viewing unassigned free space

Before you create or expand a logical drive, you may want to examine the
unassigned free space. This helps you identify the available free space that you
can use to create and expand logical drives.

The

CREATE LOGICAL DRIVE

window displays all available unused space or free

regions.

To view unassigned free space:

From the

Main

window

Configuration

tool bar, click

Create Logical

Drive

. The available free space is shown in the

Select which Array(s) to Use

pane.

Click

CANCEL

to exit.
