I.Important Safeguards
*Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance.
*Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles.
*To avoid electrical hazards, do not immerse the cord, plug, or rice cooker heating plate in water or other
liquids.
Close supervision is required in the presence of children.
*Before connecting the power cord, make sure that the voltage of the outlet is suitable for the appliance.
Unplug this apparatus from the wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool
completely before placing or removing the cookware.
*Do not operate the appliance if the cord has been damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions or suffers
serious damage.
*Never put water or other liquids in the outer pot. Water should only be put in the inner pot.
*Do not heat the cooking pot on other burners.
*Never plug the power cord without the inner pot into the cooker.
*Use only the inner pot provided.
*Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
*Do not place the appliance on or near a gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
*Use extreme caution when moving appliances containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
*Always plug the cord into a wall outlet. To disconnect, remove the plug, not the cord.
*Always place the unit on a flat surface.
*The rice cooker should be stored and used away from high temperatures.
*Do not block steam vent on top of lid.
*Make sure the lid is securely closed during cooking.
*Do not connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands.
*Never place this appliance in the refrigerator or freezer.
*Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
*Do not use abrasive sponges or scrubbers that may scratch the surface.
*Warning: risk of fire or ignition. Do not store combustible material in the container. To reduce the risk of
electric shock, cook only in a removable container. Fire or electrical shock hazard. Operate this appliance only
with the removable container in place.
*WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove or open the bottom cover. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
*Any service must be performed by an authorized service representative.
