Screw, front wheel
spindle M20x1.5 35 Nm (25.8 lbf ft)
–
Operate the hand brake lever several times until the brake linings
are seated correctly against the brake disc.

Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 49)
–
Operate the front brake and compress the fork a few times firmly.
The fork legs straighten.

Tighten screws

13.3 Removing the rear wheel
Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 49)

Main work
–
Manually press the brake caliper toward the brake disc to push back
the brake piston.
Info
Make sure that you do not press the brake caliper against
the spokes when pushing back the brake piston.

Remove nut

Take off chain adjuster

. Pull out wheel spindle

far enough to
allow the rear wheel to be pushed forward.

Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the chain
from the rear sprocket.

Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Warning
Danger of accidents Damaged brake discs reduce the
braking effect.

Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake
disc is not damaged.
