Open the cable holder in front of the left radiator and detach the
wiring harness.

Remove screw

Take off the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and set it aside.

Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Do not kink the cables and lines.

Remove O-ring

and protective ring

Take off the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
–
Remove the upper steering head bearing.

Main work

Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage, and
grease.
High viscosity grease ( p. 139)
–
Insert the lower triple clamp with the steering stem. Mount upper
steering head bearing.

Check whether upper steering head seal

is correctly positioned.

Slide on protective ring

and O-ring

Position the upper triple clamp with the handlebar.

Mount screw

, but do not tighten yet.

Secure the wiring harness and the clutch line with the cable holder.
