COM Radio Advisories
ADVISORY CONDITION CORRECTIVE ACTION
COM radio needs
service.
COM radio is reporting
that it requires service.
Functionality may be
unavailable. Cycle radio power.
Contact dealer for service.
COM over
temperature.
Reducing
transmit power.
COM radio is in overtemp
mode. Transmitting
power automatically
reduces to prevent
damage to the COM
radio. Radio range is
reduced as a result.

Decrease length of COM
transmissions.
•
Decrease cabin
temperature and increase
cabin airflow, especially
near the unit.
•
Contact dealer for service
if message persists.
COM under voltage.
Reducing transmit
power.
COM radio is in
undervoltage mode.
Transmitting power
automatically reduces
to prevent damage to
the COM radio. Radio
range is reduced as a
result.

Decrease length of COM
transmissions.
•
Check aircraft voltage and
reduce electrical load as
necessary.
•
Contact dealer for service
if message persists.
TX Interlock discrete
input is stuck active.
Unit detects the
TX Interlock discrete
input has been active for
60 seconds.
Contact dealer for service.
COM MIC <1/2> key
is stuck.
Unit detects the specified
key in the pressed
position for 30 seconds.
The input is ignored as
a result. Radio stops
transmitting.
Verify that the key is not
stuck. Contact dealer for
service if message persists.
