4.3 Indirect Echoes
Echoes may return indirectly through multiple reflections off surrounding objects. Indirect
echoes would appear as a target at the same range as the direct echo but at the bearing
from which the indirect echo was received. Indirect echoes usually have abnormal
shapes and movements.

4.4 Blind and Shadow Sectors
Large or tall objects may block the path of radar beams and form a blind or shadow
sector. Within a blind or shadow sector, small targets behind the blocking object may be
hidden from view.
