Location Messages
Requesting a Location
Message
You can request a location message
from Garmin Mobile XT users in your
Contacts list.
1. Select (
Menu
>)
Tools
>
Location
Messages
. A list of recent location
message (if you have any) appears.
2. Select a location message, or select
Contacts
and select a contact from
the list. Select
Select
.
3. Select
Request Location Messages
.
A “Where are you?” text message
appears.
4. Select
Request
to send the
message.
When you receive a location message,
you are prompted to open Garmin
Mobile XT. If it is already running,
a message appears. You can save the
location messages, view it on the map,
and route to it.
Routing to a Location
After you receive a location message,
you can create a route to it.
1. Select
Where to?

Location
Messages
or select (
Menu
>)
Tools
>
Location Messages
.
2. Select the location message from the
list.
3. Select
View Details
.
