Clean Fuel Filter
Fuel tank is fitted with a filter.
Filter is situated at the free end of fuel pipe and can be picked out through fuel port with a
piece of hooked wire or the like. (Fig. 16)
Check the fuel filter periodically. Do not allow dust to enter the fuel tank. Clogged filter will
cause difficulty when starting engine or abnormalities in engine performance.
When the filter is dirty, replace the filter.
When the inside of the fuel tank is dirty, it can be cleaned by rinsing the tank out with
petrol.
9.3
Checking the spark plug
Check the spark plug every 10-15 hours of use.
Remove the spark plug cover. (Fig. 17)
Use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug, by turning it counter-clockwise. (Fig.
18)
Clean and adjust the spark plug gap to 0.6 - 0.7mm.
Replace any damaged or visibly worn plug with a TORCH L8RTC or equivalent spark plug.
(Fig. 19)
Install the spark plug finger tight in the cylinder head, and then tighten it firmly with the
