Gas exhaust emissions
DANGER
Combustion engines produce carbon monoxide. Extended exposure to gas exhaust can
have serious consequences and even lead to death.
This statement applies to the main engine of the boat, but also to the generator and to
the heating if the boat is so equipped.

Safety
PRECAUTION
Before starting the engine, ensure that there is no risk due to movement of the boat (setting
objects, closing doors, ...) and due to rotation of the propeller (no ropes in the water, … ).
DANGER
Do not run the engine when there are swimmers near the boat in order to avoid any risk
of serious injury from the propeller.
If possible the engine must be at a standstill for any maintenance operation or engine
testing. Otherwise, it is vital that there is particular attention paid to moving parts
(propeller shafts, belts, etc…) in order to avoid any risk of injury.
