4 IIDTool Functions

4.1 Introduction to Functions

Each function meets one or more roles in achieving the following objectives (as defined in

section 1.4

) :

• Diagnose a problem resulting from a disorder of the electrical / vehicle electronic or mechanical

systems

• Personalize certain vehicle behaviors by changing settings

• Contribute to the success of a repair

• Administer ECUs

• IIDTool settings

Note :

The classification of functions offered by each models of IIDTool and their access levels are

defined in

section 1.4.3

. Definitions, roles and usage of each function are available on the following
