Getting started
Establish the power supply
Switch on the PersonalWorkplace-Controller by switching on the power supply of
at least one power supply unit ( Power 1/Power 2 ).
Initial configuration of the network settings
Configure the network settings to access the web application of the device.
How to configure the network settings of the device:
1. Use a category 5 (or better) twisted pair cable to connect the network interface of
any computer to the device‘s N1 interface.
2. Ensure that the IP address of the computer‘s network interface is part of the sub-
net to which the PersonalWorkplace-Controller‘s IP address belongs to.
3. Start the computer‘s web browser and enter 10.0.4.41 in the address bar.
4. The web application opens. Click on Network Settings under the Configuration tab.
5. Make the required settings here:
6. Click Save .
7. Click Reboot now .
NOTE:
In the defaults, the following settings are pre-selected:
 DHCP deactivated
 Static IP address of the PersonalWorkplace-Controller: 10.0.4.41
 Netmask: 255.255.255.0
NOTE:
Use the IP address 10.0.4.100 , for example.
Use DHCP:

not selected: the static IP address is being used.

selected: obtains the IP address from a DHCP server.
Static IP-Adresse:
Enter the interface IP address (only when USE DHCP has not
been selected).
Netmask: Enter the network netmask (only when USE DHCP has not
been selected).
Gateway:
Enter the IP address of the gateway (only when USE DHCP
has not been selected).
DNS Server: Enter the IP address of the DNS server (only when USE
DHCP has not been selected).
