Connecting the user modules
The user modules are connected to the matrix switch CATCenter NEO using a
category 5 (or better) twisted pair cable.
The recommended
K-C7/LD-x
cable enables the distance between the
CATpro2
target module and the user module to be up to 300 metres ( UCON-a : up to 100
metres). When other cables are used, the length depends on the quality of the ap-
plied cable.
Connection via the user module UCON
How to connect the user module UCON to the matrix switch:

Insert one end of the category 5 (or better) twisted pair cable into the
Transmission port of the user module.

Connect the other end of the twisted pair cable to any of the 16 Console ports of
the matrix switch CATCenter NEO .

Connect the monitor to the Monitor interface of the user module.

Connect keyboard and mouse to the user module.
Tip:
Both input devices can be connected to the respective PS/2 or USB port.
A mixed connection (e. g. PS/2 mouse and USB keyboard) is possible.

Optional: If the additional
TS Function
has been purchased, connect the supplied
LED to the
LED out
interface.
Place this LED close to the monitor connected to this user module.
