Releasing
A group of initiating and output devices can be designated to control the release of
fire suppression agents. The process includes the ability to interceed in (Abort) the
cycle, or speed up (Dump) the cycle. The delay time from the confirmation of two
anded inputs to the release command is programmable, as is the delay from the
release command to the actual release. Different Abort schemes can be programmed:
1. One Shot where the Abort switch will delay the release only once.
2. Timer Expiry, where the prerelease timer is stopped during Abort
switch activation and continues on deactivation as many times as
required until the timer counts down.
3. Immediate, where the timer is interrupted while the Abort switch is
activated, and the releasing occurs immediately upon deactivation of the
switch.
4. 10 Sec delay, where the timer is interrupted while the Abort switch is
activated, and the releasing occurs 10 seconds after deactivation of the
switch.
5. Rest timer, where the pre release time is reset to it’s full count each time
the Abort switch is activated and released.
>>NOTE: THIS IS NOT A UL APPROVED MODE OF OPERATION.
APPROVAL MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE AHJ TO UTILIZE THIS
MODE OF OPERATION.
The audible alarms for a releasing circuit will change during the 3 stages. On any 1
alarm, 60BPM; during the pre release time, 120BPM; and during the releasing time, a
steady signal.
Supervisory Event
Condition
A Supervisory Event condition occurs when an analog/addressable device
programmed as a supervisory devices activates. The common “supervisory display”
LED (yellow) illuminates. The alphanumeric display indicates the point where the
supervisory device is located and logs it into the History Buffer to provide a time
stamped record of the event's occurrence. Refer to Figure O-5. The system common
buzzer shall sound, and the Form C common Supervisory Event relay transfers. Any
signal, or relay point programmed to the supervisory zone will activate.
When the momentary
Acknowledge
switch is pressed, the audible indicator will be
silenced. If a subsequent Supervisory Event should occur in a different Supervisory
Event zone, the alphanumeric display will annunciate the new point, and the system
common buzzer will reactivate.
The acknowledged Supervisory Event(s) will remain until the device(s) have been
restored to normal condition, and the momentary
Reset
switch has been depressed. If
no further Supervisory Events exist in the system, the panel will return to normal
quiescent condition otherwise the panel will return to Supervisory Event condition.
Any unacknowledged Supervisory Events, that are cleared before the point was
acknowledged, will not latch in and need to be reset. The information will still be
placed into the history log. Refer to Table O-1, System Event Messages, for
complete listing of message displays.
