PS4 Rapid Fire X-‐3
Congratulations on your new Rapid Fire Controller! Please read through instructions before programming
your controller so you know what to do.
Turn on your controller and the LED will flash 5 times. This indicates your controller is ready. There are no
modes programmed when you initially receive your controller. There are 5 modes that you can program and
three options per mode. You can choose which trigger you want for your primary rapid-‐fire, R2 or L2. You
can also select fully automatic or burst mode, and you can adjust the shots per second.
To go into any of the 5 modes, hold down one of the trigger buttons, R2, or L2 and press up on the d-‐pad the
number of times corresponding to which mode you want to select. For example, hold down L2 and press up
twice on the d-‐pad to go into mode 2. The LED will flash the same number of times as the mode you chose,
then it will go solid.
Now that you are in a mode and want to program that mode, hold down R2 or L2 and press right on the d-‐
pad. The LED will flash 5 times then turn off. At this point you can release the buttons and you are now in
Program Mode.
Once in Program Mode, the first step is selecting a trigger button for rapid fire (R2 or L2). Once you choose a
trigger, tap it then press right on the d-‐pad and the LED will flash according to the button you’ve selected.
R2 = 1 flashes, L2 = 2 flashes.
After selecting your trigger, the next step is choosing fully automatic or a desired burst mode. To set up this
mode press up on the d-‐pad the amount that corresponds to the round burst you would like.
Press up once = fully automatic, 2 times = 2 round burst, 3 times = 3 round burst, etc.
Press right on the d-‐pad and the LED will confirm your setting.
Now it’s time to choose the amount of shots per second you would like to fire. To adjust the shots per
second press up or down on the d-‐pad. One press equals a shot per second. For example, pressing up 7
times will give you 7 shots per second. Test your shots per second by pressing down on the trigger you
selected for rapid fire. If your weapon begins to break-‐up, you need to decrease your shots per second.
Tip: Keep increasing and testing until your gun starts to break up. Then decrease.
Once you’ve programmed your shots per second, press right on d-‐pad and the LED will flash the
corresponding number of times. For example, if you chose 7 shots per second, it will flash 7 times. At this
point the LED will pause, then flash a solid color signaling your mode is programmed and you’re ready to
play!
To program another mode or overwrite a current mode, enter that mode and repeat instructions.
