Collect/Replace Valve
Press VALVE , then press 4 to select “Collect.” The following screen
appears:
The screen displays “now Collecting,” “now Returning,” or “now Open,”
depending on the current position of the collect/replace valve.
•
To open the collect/replace line to the collection bag, press 1 .
•
To return the contents of the collect/replace line to the
donor/patient, press
2 .
•
To open the collect valve so you can load or remove the disposable
tubing set, press
3 .
During TPE and RBCX procedures, when the collect/replace valve is in
the “Collect” position, the system pumps replacement fluid through the
line to the patient.
During collection procedures, when the collect/replace valve is in the
“Collect” position, the system pumps the contents of the collect line to
the collection bag.
Plasma/RBC Valve
Press VALVE , then press 5 to select “Plasma.” The following screen
appears:
The screen displays “now Collecting,” “now Returning,” or “now Open,”
depending on the current position of the plasma/RBC valve.

To open the plasma line to the collection or plasma/RBC waste bag,
press
1 .
•
To return plasma to the donor/patient, press 2 .
RBCX procedures : To return RBCs to the donor/patient, press 2 .
•
To open the plasma/RBC valve so you can load or remove the
disposable tubing set, press
3 .
During TPE procedures, when the plasma/RBC valve is in the collect
position, the system pumps plasma to the plasma waste bag.
During RBCX procedures, when the plasma/RBC valve is in the collect
position, the system pumps RBCs to the RBC waste bag.
During collection procedures, the plasma/RBC valve is in the collect
position only while plasma is collected and pumped to the plasma bag.
All Valves
Press VALVE , then press 6 to select “All valves.” The following screen
appears:
•
To close all valves, press 1 . The return, RBC, waste or return waste,
plasma bag, and collection bag lines close.
•
To open all valves so you can load or remove the disposable tubing
set, press
2 .
This option is not available during Run mode.
Collect Valve (now ________):
1=Collect, 2=Return, 3=Load.
Plasma Valve (now ________):
1=Collect, 2=Return, 3=Load.
1=Close All Valves, 2=Open All Valves.
