Initial startup of the system
Initial startup refers to applying power to the UPS for the first time.
Before initial startup of the system, make sure that no loads are connected to the UPS output. If a
maintenance bypass switch is installed, make sure it is OFF (not conducting).
1.
Attach the LCD screen to the front of the controller (see section
5), then insert the controller module
into any one of the module slots. Ideally the controller should be located at about eye level so that it
will be easy to read the LCD screen.
2.
Insert the UPS modules into the remaining slots. If you have fewer modules than slots, it is not
important which slots remain empty.
3.
Switch ON the external circuit breaker for bypass input current.
4.
Power-ON the LCD panel.
5.
A series of screens are displayed on the control panel to enable you to define the system’s initial
configuration. To perform the initial configuration, continue with section
3.6 below.
