Switching off the appliance

The appliance no longer cools.
Disconnecting the appliance
If you do not use the appliance for a prolonged period:
1 Press the
ÿ
button.
The appliance no longer cools.
2 Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse.
3 Clean the appliance.
4 Leave the appliance open.
Setting the temperature
Recommended temperature
Refrigerator compartment

Keep pressing the button -/+ until the display
indicates the required temperature.
Freezer compartment
▯
Keep pressing the button -/+ until the display
indicates the required temperature.
Sticker OK
(not all models)
The sticker OK lets you check whether the refrigerator
compartment achieves the safe temperature ranges of
+4 °C or colder recommended for food.
If the sticker does not indicate OK , gradually reduce the
temperature.
When the appliance is switched on, it may take up to
12 hours until the set temperature is reached.
Correct setting
Fast cooling
Fast cooling cools the refrigerator compartment as cold
as possible.
Switch on fast cooling e.g.:

before placing large quantities of food in the
compartment
▯
for cooling drinks quickly
Note: When fast cooling is switched on, increased
operating noises may occur.
After 15 hours the appliance switches to normal
operation.
Switch fast cooling on/off:

button.
The button lights up when fast cooling is switched
on.
Fast freezing
Automatic fast freezing
Automatic fast freezing switches on automatically when
warm food is placed in the freezer.
With automatic fast freezing the freezer compartment
cools down to a much lower temperature than for normal
mode.
Fast freezing freezes food quickly right through to the
centre.
Note: When automatic fast freezing is switched on, the
h
button lights up and increased operating noise may
occur.
Once fast freezing has finished, the appliance
automatically switches to normal mode.
Manually cancelling automatic fast freezing:

Refrigerator compartment: +4 °C
Freezer compartment: –18 °C
