APPENDIX 5 ALARM LIST
When an alarm occurs, the alarm icon and type appear at the bottom of the screen. When turning
on the audio alarm, the buzzer sounds (see section 8.1). Also, when setting [ALARM] to display
in the NAV information box, the alarm title appears in the box (see section 1.4.4 and
section 2.1.2).
The table below shows the alarm title, meaning and remedy for each alarm. You may silence the
buzzer by pressing the
CANCEL
key.

POSN N/A
No calculation of position. The signal
from GPS core is not received for three
seconds.
Restart the GP-3700F. If the
alarm occurs again, contact your
dealer.
NO FIX
No positioning data.
If the same state continues for
five minutes, contact your dealer.
DGPSLOST
The positioning system turns from
DGPS (or SBAS) to GPS (see [DGPS/
SBAS ALARM] on page 9-16).
If this condition frequently occurs
in the service area of the Beacon
stations or the SBAS satellites,
contact your dealer.
ARRIVAL
Your vessel is approaching a destination
waypoint (see section 8.2).

DEPARTURE
Your vessel is moving when it should be
at rest (see section 8.2).
Confirm own ship location and
adjust as necessary.
XTE ERR
Your vessel is off its intended course
(see section 8.4).
Check course and adjust as nec-
essary.
INTRUSION
Your vessel crosses the area defined by
the two waypoints (see section 8.4).
Check course and adjust as nec-
essary.
SPEC OBJ
Your vessel nears a waypoint by the dis-
tance set for that waypoint on the way-
points list (see section 8.5 and
section 5.1.3).
Confirm the proximity waypoint.
SPEED
Your boat’s speed is within the speed
range set (see section 8.6).
Check own ship’s speed and ad-
just as necessary.
SPEED
Your boat’s speed is over the speed
range set (see section 8.6).
Check own ship’s speed and ad-
just as necessary.
TRIP
You have traveled a certain distance
(see section 8.7).
Reset the trip distance as neces-
sary.
AIS PROX.
The range between an AIS target and
your ship is within the preset setting (see
section 12.5.2).
Confirm the location of the ap-
proximate AIS target.
CPA/TCPA
AIS/TT target is within CPA/TCPA
threshold (see section 12.5.3).
Take evasive action if neces-
sary. Adjust CPA/TCPA settings.
AIS LOST
AIS target is lost (see section 12.5.4).
Confirm the lost target and re-ac-
quire it as necessary.
EXT. AIS
Something is wrong with the connected
AIS unit (see section 12.5.5).
Check connection to AIS unit.
WTR TEMP
The water temperature is within the
range set (see section 8.8),
