How to Reject Interference

Interference from other acoustic equipment operating nearby or other electronic
equipment on your boat may show itself on the display as shown in the figure below.
When this occurs use the interference rejector.

Note:

Set the rejection level with care. A high setting can also remove weak echoes

(small targets).

To reject interference, do as follows:

1. Click the [Sounder] icon (

) from the InstantAccess bar™ to show the [Sounder]

menu, then click the [Interference] icon (

). [INTERFERENCE] appears in the

miscellaneous section of the header and is highlighted in a green color.

2. Scroll to adjust the level of interference rejection, referring to the table below.

Setting

Disables interference rejection.

[NL1]

Lowest level of rejection.

[NL2]

Medium level of rejection.

[NL3]

Highest level of rejection.

[Auto]

Automatically adjusts the level of rejection to suit current conditions.
