How to Change the Range
The range setting dictates the on-screen display distance and can be changed to suit
your requirements. The system has eight presets, each of which can be changed. The
default setting for the presets is listed in the table below.

Note:
You can change the preset range for of the presets, according to your require-
ments. See section 4.7.1 or section 4.8.4.

How to change the range for FCV-38 and external echo sound-
ers where "External Fish Finder Window" is set to "Off" at in-
stallation
Where [External Fish Finder Window] is set to [Off] at installation, the range is applied
to both the FCV-38 and the external fish finder.
To change the range, follow the procedure below.
Note:
Range cannot be adjusted manually when auto range is active.
1. If the header is not displayed, put the cursor at the top edge of the display to show
it.
2. Click the [RANGE] indication on the header. The indication is now highlighted in
a green color.
3. Scroll to change the range. The display changes automatically with each change
in range.
