PABX and PC
A CD containing the Windows configuration program and other software and drivers is included in the PABX package.

In these operating instructions we would like to give you a brief summary of the software included in the scope of supply for the system. The
software programs themselves are not described in these instructions. Should any questions or problems arise while you are using the pro-
grams you can use the online Help function for assistance. All programs are equipped with a comprehensive online Help function.
Programs for configuring the PABX
Professional Configurator:
The settings for the individual features of your PABX are made in the PABX configuration. You can configure your external MSN and assign
these numbers to individual, internal users, or to a team consisting of several users (members). You can also assign a name for each indivi-
dual, internal user and configure the various features separately (such as authorization privileges, exchange line access, cost logging, etc. ),
or you can apply the settings of one user to those for a different user. Configuration is also used to define the calendar, numbers for call con-
trol (unrestricted numbers, restricted numbers) and emergency or direct calls. You can also make general settings for the PABX, for call data
logging or for remote access to the PABX system.
Charge Manager:
You can use the charge manager program for logging connection data for reading out or clearing call data records stored in the PABX and
user-specific counters. The call data records that are read out can be evaluated using various sorting and filtering functions, or exported for
processing in other programs.
For example: Sorting functions allow you to compile data records according to internal users, project numbers or numbers that are di-
aled/transferred. The filtering functions can be used to display data records containing individual properties. You can set these filtering
functions to fit your specific needs.
Telephone Directory Manager:
The PABX system is equipped with an integrated telephone directory. In which you can store up to 500 numbers, with their associated na-
mes. You can access the PABX telephone directory with all phones connected with the system. System telephones can also use the PABX me-
nu. Other telephones can use a code to dial from the telephone directory. Entries are added to the directory using the Telephone Directory
Manager on the CD. The import/export function of the telephone directory manager allows imported or exported data to be edited and
processed in other programs.
ControlCenter:
The Control Center monitors the activities of the router for establishing and severing a connection. It indicates for instance: the provider
used for the current connection, the type of connection (ISDN or DSL), the IP address, the duration, the port, the up- or downloaded data vo-
lume. You can also terminate an ongoing connection or establish a new one.
Download Manager:
Using this program you can load new system software via your PC into the PABX. You can load new software via the integrated USB port, or
via the Ethernet port »LAN1« of your PABX system. If an ISDN card is already installed in your PC you can also update the system software
via the internal ISDN connection of the PABX.
TAPI-Configurator:
Using TAPI Configuration you can adapt the TAPI driver for a program that uses that driver.You can also check which MSN is assigned to
which terminal device, define new line names and can set the dialing parameters.
First configure the PABX. Then, you must configure the TAPI interface. Use the program »TAPI Configuration« in the start menu.
