System telephones at the internal ISDN port
System telephones
Your PABX is prepared for operation with system telephones. No special programming is required for these system telephones. The PABX
automatically recognizes the activated system telephones and provides functions typical for these telephones in a special menu.
You can also configure several function keys on system telephones and expansion modules for the system telephones. The system telephone
operating instructions include a description of these functions and their configuration and use.
Configuration of system telephones via the PABX
You can configure system telephones from a central location from PC off using the Professional Configurator. The system telephones are re-
cognized by the Professional Configurator and the configuration can be read out and edited. You can also load ringing melodies using the
Sound Manager and edit the telephone book for the system telephone (with the exception of the CS290).
Intercom
An intercom call allows you to set up a connection from one system telephone to another system telephone without this connection having
to be accepted by pushing a button. Intercom calls are accepted automatically by the phone being called when the function »Hands-free
calling« is activated, provided:
·
the telephone is idle,
·
the intercom call function has not been specifically deactivated and
·
»Do not disturb« has been deactivated.
If you lift the handset of a system telephone during an intercom call, the call is continued over the handset.
If an intercom call is not terminated by one of the two users, the connection is terminated automatically after a time defined in the PABX
(around.
If the function »Do not disturb« is activated at a system telephone, intercom calls can not be placed to that phone. Intercom calls can be acti-
vated or inhibited specifically using a function key or a code procedure.
