you have selected WEP or none , authentication settings are
optional. If you are using WPA-PSK , you must not make any set-
tings here.
Authentication On
Check the checkbox in order to activate authentication according
to IEEE802.1x.
• Radius Server IP Address
Enter the IP address of the RADIUS server to be used.
• Radius Port
If you wish to use another port than 1812 for your RADIUS server,
you can change it here.
• Reauthentication Time [min]
The authentication of each client is periodically checked for validity.
The default value is 60 minutes. You can change this value arbitrarily,
but please observe the following: Very short periods may cause a
higher load on your network, very long periods may delay the reac-
tion to RADIUS account changes.
• Shared Secret
In order to communicate with the RADIUS server, the ComPoint
requires the shared secret, i.e. a password which also has to be entered
at the RADIUS server.
