● Troubleshooting for the DS-8500system Technical Alarm Sound
The “Check Recorder Conn.” message is displayed and recording cannot be conducted.
Situation 1
：
While the power supply indicator lights in orange, the Recording and Paper Feed keys
light in blue.
The status and communication information failure occur on the DS-8500 Recorder
Adjust screen.
Cause 1
：
Whether going through the MGU or not is wrongly set up in the U-LINK Communication
Setup.
Solution 1
：
When the U-LINK communication is set up through MGU, assign the U-LINK part of
theExternal Device to MGU. When the DS-8500system is connected directly to the
HR-800 and does not go through the MGU, set the corresponded part OFF.
Situation 2
：
The power supply indicator of the HR-800 is off.
Cause 2
：
The U-LINK cable communicating with the HR-800 is disconnected.
Solution 2
：
Check the U-LINK cable connection.
The “Check Built-in Recorder” message is displayed and recording cannot be conducted.
Cause 1
：
Thermal Head temperature exceeds 70
℃
.
Solution 1
：
Resume printing under the condition where the Thermal Head temperature is below
60
℃
.
Check the Recorder Adjust screen for Thermal Head temperature.
Cause 2
：
The HR -800 detects a hardware failure.
Solution 2
：
If the situation cannot be improved, refer to our representative.
The “Check Rec. Paper (Built-in)” message is displayed and recording cannot be conducted.
The “PAPER OUT” message is displayed on the User Key [START/STOP].
Cause
：
There is no recording paper in the recorder cassette.
Solution
：
Set the recording paper in the paper holder.
The “Check Cassette (Built-in)” message is displayed and recording cannot be conducted.
The “MAGAZINE” message is displayed on the User Key [Print Start/Stop].
Cause
：
The door of the paper holder is open. The door of the paper holder is not correctly
closed.
Solution
：
Correctly close the door of the paper holder.
