TCON (Only for USA)
Cannot communicate with the central monitor. The "Chk TCON Reception” message is
displayed.
Cause 1 : The location is too far from the central monitor.
Solution : Readjust the location so as not to be too far from the central monitor.
Cause 2 : The setup is not correct.
Solution : Check if the setup for TCON ID or channel corresponds to the central monitor.
Make sure that the TCON group ID is the same as the central monitor.
Cause3 : The connection cable for the TCON unit is disconnected.
Solution : The connection cable of the TCON unit, HTC-701 is disconnected from the serial
connector on the BS-8210. Insert it all the way.
The “Check TCON Comm.” message is displayed.
Cause : The TCON and monitor are not connected.
Solution : Check the connection between the TCON and monitor.
Check if the port setup is set for the TCON on the serial communication setup menu
set for the hospital.
The “TCON Interference” message is displayed.
Cause : A bedside set with the same TCON ID as this unit may exist.
Solution : Check the TCON ID of the bedside in the same TCON group, and if the bedside is set
with the same TCON ID, set the TCON ID again.
Remote Control Unit
The remote control unit does not operate.
Cause 1 : The remote control is too far away from the monitor, or is used outside the sensor
range.
Solution : The distance between the remote control and monitor should be within 10m.
Also, the light receiving angle of the monitor should be approximately 45
°
.
Cause 2 : The remote control function is set to OFF on the patient monitor.
Solution : Set the remote control function ON on the monitor.
Cause3 : The monitor ID selected on the remote control is not correct.
Solution : Select the correct monitor ID.
Cause4 : The functions are not assigned to the function keys on the remote control.
Solution : Set the function keys.
The remote control does not properly function.
Cause : Different function is assigned for each monitor.
Solution : Set the same function keys on all the monitors within the same room (section).
General
The data is initialized each time the power is turned ON.
Cause 1 : The rotary switch is not set to “0 (zero)”.
Solution : The setting of the rotary switch needs to be changed. Set the rotary switch to 0.
Cause 2 : The long-term backup battery is depleted.
Solution : The long-term backup battery in the LC-8210 needs to be replaced.
Replace the long-term backup battery. (For details, refer to “Chapter 10 Maintenance”.)
